As the global home appliance industry shifts from scale growth to value competition, cleaning appliances face incremental innovation bottlenecks while traditional large home appliances grapple with high-end transformation pressures. Technological innovation and scenario integration have emerged as the key to breaking through these challenges.
From December 17 to 18, at the media and investor open day for Dreame Technology’s vacuum cleaner and large home appliance businesses, heads of its full product lines—including vacuum cleaners, refrigerators, washing machines, air conditioners, small kitchen appliances, and water purifiers—shared insights into the company’s layout strategy, spanning from single cleaning devices to a full-house smart ecosystem.
Vacuum Cleaners: Breaking Through Technological Bottlenecks
Looking back at the development of the vacuum cleaner industry, every leap in market scale has stemmed from generational innovations in product form and core functions. However, the industry currently finds itself trapped in a cycle of homogeneous “incremental innovation,” with deep-seated pain points that truly concern users remaining unsolved.
Since the start of 2025, Dreame has intensively launched a series of breakthrough technologies in vacuum cleaners. As the “heart” of home appliances, the motor directly determines the upper limit of cleaning efficiency. Dreame has taken the lead in adopting a high-speed digital motor with a global-leading maximum speed of 200,000 revolutions per minute, effectively tackling stubborn dust in floor gaps and carpets while supporting long-duration full-house cleaning without mid-session power cuts.
Addressing the long-standing tangling issue plaguing the industry, Dreame unveiled the world’s first SharkHair 主动 hair-cutting technology, featuring dual aviation-grade titanium-plated blades that deliver 2,000 high-frequency cuts per minute. For wet cleaning scenarios, the company developed the world’s smallest water-gas separation device, achieving gas-liquid separation in a compact space and resolving the long-standing performance conflict between “strong suction power” and “simultaneous dry-wet handling.”
These technological strategies have been effectively validated in the market. According to data shared by Yuan Guangyun, head of Dreame’s Vacuum Cleaner R&D Center, domestic revenue of Dreame’s vacuum cleaners increased by 40% year-on-year from January to November 2025, while overseas market growth reached 59%.
Large Home Appliances: High-Endization Meets Scenario Integration
Focusing on the traditional large home appliance sector, the industry is undergoing two core transformations: high-endization and scenario-based integration. On one hand, users are no longer satisfied with basic functions, instead pursuing high-end experiences that integrate with home aesthetics and feature AI intelligent management, driving the market price range upward. On the other hand, the product logic is shifting from single universal devices to full-scenario solutions.
Leveraging its long-term technological accumulation in bionic robotic arms, intelligent sensing, and fluid control, Dreame has systematically migrated and expanded its core capabilities from cleaning appliances to large home appliances, completing the extension from technical fundamentals to application scenarios.
In the air conditioner category, targeting the pain points of rigid and uneven air supply in traditional models, Dreame launched the world’s first X-Wind Air Conditioner equipped with dual bionic robotic arms. These two flexible “arms” can swing independently, delivering 126° wide-angle air supply with left-right zone control, ensuring natural and soft air reaches every corner of the room to meet the personalized needs of multiple users simultaneously.
For refrigerators, Dreame focuses on proactive health management needs. At the event, the company showcased its electric field preservation technology that extends the refrigerated freshness period of meat to 10 days, locking in moisture for fruits and vegetables through light and temperature regulation. Its flagship models are equipped with multi-modal sensors, and officials stated that in the future, AI will analyze food status to provide users with customized dietary health advice, transforming the refrigerator from a storage tool into a “health manager.”

Small Kitchen Appliances: Differentiated Intelligent Experiences
In the small kitchen appliance segment, Dreame emphasizes differentiated experiences centered on intelligent steam penetration technology. The company launched two new products at the event: the dual-compartment air fryer DS50 and the multi-functional steam-air fryer AF60. The former features the world’s first Duo-Flow™ dual-engine air control technology, enabling independent crispy and tender roasting in upper and lower compartments. The latter utilizes a CrispVapor™ steam generator and dual-engine 360° thermal circulation system, ensuring even heating for ingredients up to 3cm thick. Complemented by the dual-blade bionic food processor MX60 and professional extraction fully automatic coffee machine FCM60, Dreame has further improved its smart kitchen appliance product matrix.
In the laundry and water purification fields, Dreame focuses on health and personalization. Its washing machines can identify fabric materials and automatically match washing programs, incorporating medical-grade low-temperature sterilization technology. The water purification and drinking machines integrate instant heating, purification, and ice-making functions, meeting families’ comprehensive needs for drinking water quality and convenience.
R&D Investment and Manufacturing Expansion
By deeply integrating AI algorithms with sensors, Dreame’s systematic innovations around real-life scenarios aim to make full-house intelligence truly serve human comfort and health. As of June 30, 2025, R&D personnel accounted for 60% of Dreame’s total workforce, with annual R&D investment accounting for no less than 7% of revenue.
To fuel future growth, Dreame’s manufacturing footprint is expanding rapidly. The Nanjing Intelligent Manufacturing Base, with a total investment of 4 billion yuan and covering 193 mu (approximately 128,667 square meters), has officially started construction. It plans to build 6 advanced production lines for refrigerators and washing machines, with an expected annual production capacity of nearly 5 million units.
As the home appliance industry evolves, Dreame Technology continues to drive industry transformation through technological innovation, expanding its product ecosystem and strengthening its global market presence with a focus on user-centric scenarios and high-end experiences.
