From a “Hidden Champion” to a “Creator of Sensory Experiences”

Tianma, a pioneer in China’s display industry, has consistently adhered to a long-term approach. Since its founding in 1983, relying on technological innovation and production line upgrades, it has continuously reached new heights of development and expanded the boundaries of display technology, becoming a core force in the global display industry.

In his keynote speech titled “Screen Strength, See the Future,” Jiang Huawei, Executive Vice President of Tianma Microelectronics, further elaborated on the brand’s new mission: to transform Tianma from a traditional “hardware manufacturer” to a “creator of sensory experiences.” Starting with the Tianma Tiangong screen, the company aims to build a user experience system encompassing eye protection, display, and interaction. Tianma hopes to showcase the warmth of “Chinese screens” to global users, showcasing the advancements in Chinese intelligent manufacturing.

Three High-End Technology Experiences Redefine the Standard for High-End Displays

Tianma is not just manufacturing screens; it’s creating a window to a vibrant digital world. At the launch event, Yang Kang, Head of Product Development at the Tianma Microelectronics OLED R&D Center, presented a presentation titled “Light Up.” He translated Tianma’s “decade of hard work” into an emotionally engaging experience that illuminates the beauty of life. Through an in-depth analysis of the three high-end technology experiences of “super eye protection, ultimate transparency, and smooth high refresh rates,” he vividly demonstrated the technical secrets and diverse applications behind Tianma’s Tiangong screens.

1. Superior Eye Protection – Four Dimensions of Visual Health

To address long-standing user pain points such as dry eyes, sore eyes, and visual fatigue, Tianma Tiangong Screen prioritizes eye protection as a fundamental design goal. This comprehensive approach encompasses four key aspects: flicker-free, 1-nit bright eye protection, low blue light pollution, and adaptive ambient light. This flicker-free eye protection solution provides users with a comfortable visual experience, ensuring fatigue-free viewing. By reducing the proportion of harmful blue light to 4.7%, it significantly reduces visual damage from prolonged use. In collaboration with OPPO, the all-scenario true 1-nit bright eye protection screen offers eye protection even in the dark, ensuring all-day clarity. Utilizing proprietary light-sensing technology (HOI), the screen intelligently senses ambient light changes, from bright to dim scenes, truly achieving “the screen adapts to the environment, not the user adapts to the screen.”

2. Ultimate Transparency – Accurate Colors, Clean and Clear, Bright and Dimensional

In creating a “transparent” display effect, Tianma Tiangong Screen has achieved breakthroughs with the goal of “what you see is what you get.” In terms of brightness and contrast, its global high brightness reaches 2500 nits and its peak brightness reaches 8000 nits, ensuring that the screen content remains clearly readable even in midday sunlight. The wide color gamut covers 95% of BT.2020, reproducing colors closer to the real world and presenting a vivid texture of “what you see is what you shoot.” Its pixel design utilizes a proprietary “Windmill” structure to enhance detail display accuracy, resulting in sharper text edges and purer dynamic images, creating a more “transparent” visual experience.

3. Smooth High Refresh Rate – Reduced Latency for Smoother Operation

To meet the demands of gamers and video users for smoother viewing, Tianma Tiangong screens have achieved a balance of high refresh rate and energy efficiency through technological innovation. Regarding the high refresh rate, their mass production capacity supports 165Hz, with R&D capabilities expanding to 240Hz. Screen switching is smoother, with no artifacts, and users can “point and shoot” with ease. Their adaptive refresh rate, equipped with LTPO 3.0 technology, dynamically adjusts based on displayed content, ensuring smooth viewing while reducing power consumption.

Authoritative Endorsement and Collaboration: Co-building a New Industry Standard for Healthy Displays

Creating an exceptional visual health experience is not just the responsibility of a single company; it also requires the convergence of an industry ecosystem. At the press conference, Tiangong Screen’s technical strength received multiple authoritative recognitions.

Dr. Shi Bingjie, an ophthalmologist at Wuhan Union Hospital, pointed out that the human eye is an extremely sophisticated optical organ, and visual comfort depends on the interaction of multiple factors. Screen technology is shifting from parameter-heavy optimization to “human-centered” improvements. The eye-protection design of Tianma Tiangong Screen embodies the deep integration of technology and health.

Zheng Juan, Director of Product Certification Department 1 of the China Quality Certification Center, stated that in the era of “everything is displayed,” the screen has become the core interface for perceiving the world, connecting society, and creating value. OPPO devices equipped with Tianma Tiangong Screens perform exceptionally well in all core dimensions, fully complying with CQC certification specifications and achieving industry-leading levels of eye protection in multiple indicators.

OPPO Vice President and President of Hardware Engineering Liu Chang announced that OPPO will launch the world’s first all-scenario True 1nit Bright Eyes screen, which will be featured on OPPO’s next-generation flagship Find X9 series, providing users with an “industry-leading eye protection experience.” Liu Chang stated that, guided by OPPO’s technology and standards, they have collaborated with Tianma to achieve the industry’s highest factory screen quality. This is not only a product breakthrough, but also a demonstration of Chinese manufacturers collaborating to enhance industry competitiveness.

At the press conference, the China Quality Certification Center awarded Tianma Tiangong Screen the “Visual Health Friendliness” certification, fully recognizing its innovative eye protection technology.

Tianma and OPPO also announced the establishment of a joint laboratory. In the future, they will collaborate in the development of healthy display technology and the development of industry standards, jointly promoting the development of the display industry towards a “healthier and smarter” direction.
