Investigative journalist and New Yorker writer Ronan Farrow reportedly has come into possession of the long-sought tapes on which President Trump uses racial slurs, Deadline reports.
The tapes allegedly come from Trump’s reality TV show The Apprentice and show the president using the N-word backstage.
The tapes have been purported to exist as early as the 2016 presidential campaign. It reemerged when excerpts of the tell-all book by former White House aide Omarosa Manigault Newman surfaced in August.
Omarosa, who made three appearances on the hit reality show, wrote that she had witnessed Trump use an ethnic slur for Filipinos at the White House, about Kellyanne Conway’s husband, George, who is half-Filipino.
She also wrote that Trump used extremely offensive slurs against blacks on the set of The Apprentice.
Actor Tom Arnold claims he’d seen the tapes and that they had been “handed over” to Farrow. The host of the upcoming Viceland series The Hunt For The Trump Tapes had been goading The Apprentice producer Mark Burnett for months about releasing the tapes, which eventually led to a fist fight between the two Sunday night at an Emmy’s pregame party.
Mark Burnett just went apeshit & choked me at this huge Emmy party then he ran away with his torn Pink shirt & missing gold chain. I’m waiting for the LAPD.
