On May 14, Zeekr Auto officially announced that its luxury 5-seater SUV, the Zeekr 7X, is expanding into international markets, with the first batch landing in Norway, the Netherlands, and Sweden. This move marks a significant milestone in the global expansion of the Zeekr brand and sets a new benchmark for Chinese brands going global amidst the intensifying competition in the global electric vehicle (EV) market.
The Zeekr 7X was launched in China on September 20 last year, offering three versions: Rear-Wheel Drive Smart Drive, Long Range Rear-Wheel Drive Smart Drive, and Long Range All-Wheel Drive Smart Drive, priced at 229,900 RMB, 249,900 RMB, and 269,900 RMB, respectively. Nationwide deliveries also began at the same time. All models come with Zeekr’s self-developed Haohan Smart Drive 2.0 system, featuring functions such as No-Map City NZP, which can handle over 90% of complex intersections, and also offering City NZP commuting mode and memory route functions, providing an exceptional smart driving experience. Official data shows that the Zeekr 7X performed excellently after its release, with deliveries exceeding 10,000 units in 25 days, 20,000 units in 50 days, and 25,000 units in 60 days. This “Zeekr Speed” validates the product’s capabilities and lays a strong foundation for its overseas journey.
The pricing of the Zeekr 7X in the European market is as follows: in the Netherlands, the rear-wheel drive version is priced at €52,990 (approximately 425,000 RMB), the long-range version at €55,990 (approximately 449,000 RMB), and the performance version at €62,990 (approximately 505,000 RMB); in Norway, the rear-wheel drive version costs 500,087 NOK, the long-range rear-wheel drive version costs 539,888 NOK, and the long-range all-wheel drive version is priced at 570,694 NOK; in Sweden, the rear-wheel drive version is priced at 579,000 SEK, the long-range rear-wheel drive version at 629,000 SEK, and the long-range all-wheel drive version at 689,000 SEK. Notably, these pricing strategies are directly aligned with local bestsellers such as the Tesla Model Y and Volvo XC40 Recharge, showcasing Zeekr’s strong market competitiveness with higher configuration and cost-performance ratios.
The Zeekr 7X has dimensions of 4825×1930×1656 (1666) mm, with a wheelbase of 2925 mm, offering spacious and comfortable interior space. It is equipped with a full-stack 800V high-voltage system, with an option of a 75 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery or a 100 kWh ternary lithium battery. In terms of power, the single-motor version delivers a maximum power of 310 kW, with a CLTC range of 605 km and 780 km, respectively. The dual-motor all-wheel drive version has a maximum combined power of 475 kW, with a CLTC range of 705 km, delivering strong performance and excellent range, meeting the diverse travel needs of European consumers. Additionally, the Zeekr 7X supports up to 300 kW super-fast charging, adding 500 km of range in just 15 minutes, greatly alleviating range anxiety, especially for long-distance driving, which is popular among European consumers.
In terms of exterior design, the Zeekr 7X adopts a unique style. Unlike some competitors that favor a coupe-like silhouette, its traditional SUV design not only ensures spaciousness inside the vehicle but also improves practicality and ground clearance. The continuous LED light strip and three-dimensional tail light group create a visual echo, while the hidden door handles and 21-inch low-resistance wheels not only reduce aerodynamic drag but also highlight the vehicle’s technological aesthetics. Inside, the space is intelligently organized, with effective headroom of 1021 mm and maximum rear legroom of 1187 mm, offering an interior space utilization rate of over 83%. Moreover, the Zeekr 7X features an ingenious design with up to 37 storage compartments, including a front trunk, hidden cup holders, and a foldable rear seat table, perfectly catering to the outdoor and family travel needs of European consumers.
Regarding smart configurations, the Zeekr 7X not only comes with the advanced Haohan Smart Drive 2.0 system but also boasts a deeply optimized car system. The 15.4-inch floating central control screen is powered by the 8155 chip, ensuring smooth operation and a simple, intuitive interface. It integrates functions such as intelligent navigation, multimedia entertainment, and vehicle status monitoring. Notably, the system is localized for the European market, supporting multi-language interactions, real-time traffic updates, and EU traffic law reminders. Furthermore, the vehicle supports intelligent voice interaction, allowing users to easily control various functions like window operation, air conditioning temperature adjustment, and information queries, further enhancing convenience and safety during driving. Additionally, the Zeekr 7X is equipped with the industry-leading AI smart cockpit, which can automatically adjust seat, air conditioning, and music settings based on user habits, creating a personalized driving experience.
Starting in the second half of 2024, Zeekr will accelerate its overseas market expansion. The brand is now present in over 40 mainstream international markets, covering Europe, Asia, Oceania, Africa, and Latin America. Zeekr’s first store has opened in Cairo, Egypt, with further plans to expand into cities such as Alexandria and New Cairo. In addition, Zeekr launched its overseas 800V ultra-fast charging plan earlier this year, with regulations certification expected to be completed in all markets within the year. Zeekr plans to cooperate with local commercial partners to establish 1,000 self-operated charging stations, with the first batch landing in markets including Thailand, Singapore, Mexico, UAE, Hong Kong, Australia, Brazil, and Malaysia. Zeekr also plans to build ultra-charging stations in Norway, the Netherlands, and Sweden, with 50 self-operated ultra-charging stations to be established in core cities by the end of 2025, integrating with local mainstream charging networks to provide efficient and convenient charging services for users.

In terms of channel development, Zeekr has adopted a diversified strategy. In China, Zeekr not only deploys directly operated stores in first- and second-tier cities but also introduces a partner (agency) model for lower-tier markets. This model enables Zeekr to leverage resources from investors within the Geely and Lynk & Co systems, as well as high-quality social investors, to quickly fill the channel gap in third- and fourth-tier cities. In 2025, Zeekr plans to open nearly 200 new stores, with the total number of stores expected to reach around 560 by the end of the year. In overseas markets, Zeekr is also actively advancing channel development, working closely with local partners to establish a comprehensive sales and service network, providing consumers with a convenient car purchase experience and high-quality after-sales service. In its entry into the European markets, Zeekr will adopt the “direct-operated experience stores + authorized service centers” model, with brand experience centers opening in key cities such as Oslo, Amsterdam, and Stockholm, allowing consumers to experience the product charm of the Zeekr 7X up close.
From an industry perspective, Europe is a significant market for global electric vehicles, and Norway, the Netherlands, and Sweden are leading in policy support. Norway exempts EVs from purchase taxes and toll fees, the Netherlands offers subsidies for car purchases, and Sweden is heavily investing in charging infrastructure, providing a favorable environment for Zeekr 7X’s market expansion. However, Zeekr also faces fierce competition from established players like Tesla, Volkswagen, and Volvo. With its technological advantages and high cost-performance strategy, Zeekr 7X has the potential to break the market pattern and become a new choice for European consumers.
The Zeekr 7X’s entry into the Norway, Netherlands, and Sweden markets brings high-quality, high-performance electric vehicle options to local consumers. With its excellent product strength, Zeekr 7X is expected to attract significant attention in the European market, further enhancing the Zeekr brand’s global visibility and influence. This will also position Zeekr more favorably in the global EV competition and drive the widespread application and development of EV technology in international markets. According to industry experts, Zeekr 7X is expected to achieve a sales target of 15,000 units in its first year in the European market. If this target is met, it will mark a new milestone for Chinese EV brands expanding overseas.
