Recently, the “Smart Agriculture: Standard-Driven Advancement and Quality Assurance” forum was grandly held at the Terminal City Club in downtown Vancouver, Canada. Initiated by Pinnacle Food Group Limited (Nasdaq: PFAI), the forum brought together renowned experts from Canada’s agricultural technology, food safety certification, and legal regulatory sectors. Participants engaged in in-depth discussions on smart agriculture development trends, the formulation of international agricultural product safety certification standards, and industry practices. The event aimed to advance the standardization of global smart agriculture safety certification systems.

Experts Discuss Agri Future

This forum invited several authoritative experts from Canada to engage in in-depth discussions on topics including smart agriculture technologies, food safety certification, and legal regulation.

Dr. Bo-Sen Wu, Deputy Director of the BC Agricultural Innovation Centre, explored the industrial opportunities in smart greenhouses and vertical farming. Drawing on his research experience in vertical farming and greenhouse plant cultivation, he discussed technological innovations and market prospects in Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA). He provided forward-looking industry insights to the audience and highlighted that standardized production processes and data monitoring are key to the sector’s sustainable development.

Isabel Varey, Technical Manager of CanadaGAP and Sustainability Programs, provided an in-depth analysis of the development trajectory of agricultural certification standards and their role in ensuring food safety. She stressed the importance of establishing unified, transparent smart agriculture safety testing and certification standards for the industry’s sustainable development.

Subsequently, Morgan L. Camley, Partner at Dantons LLP and renowned agricultural lawyer, interpreted North American agricultural product safety regulatory trends from a legal perspective. He engaged with experts on compliance requirements for food safety regulation, offering practical legal advice to practitioners.

Katherine Dolmage, Certification Laboratory Specialist at Pinnacle Food, shared practical insights from Pinnacle Food’s experience in smart agriculture standardization. She demonstrated how integrating technological innovation with testing and certification leverages standardization to enhance production efficiency and product quality.
