Recently, Argentina’s No-Till Farmers Association (Aapresid) announced the official launch of its first bioinput network.ika, as the core bioinput distributor of this network, was established primarily to address the challenges farmers currently face in boosting crop yields during crop management practices and to provide more suitable bioinput solutions for agricultural production.

Earlier, during the Aapresid Congress 2025 (Congress of Argentina’s No-Till Farmers Association), AgroPages conducted an exclusive interview with Maxmiliano Bordas, founder, CEO, and agronomist of Biologika. Notably, Bordas himself led the Biologika team to attend the congress with the company’s exhibition booth, showcasing the company’s bioinput products and service system to the participants.

When talking about the original intention of establishing the bioinput network, Bordas stated that there has long been a pain point in the grower network under Aapresid – it is difficult for growers to master the scientific method of combining bio-based products with chemical products. For this reason, Biologika has specially developed an independent distribution channel and consulting service system. On one hand, it provides high-quality bioinputs for growers; on the other hand, through professional consulting, it helps them achieve efficient and coordinated application of bio-based and chemical products. At the same time, Bordas emphasized that in the current context where agricultural production pursues high quality and high yield, bio-based products have become a key force in promoting yield improvement.

At present, Biologika has launched its independently developed liquid biofertilizer brand – Bioaktive. The core advantage of this product lies in its unique formula: it not only contains 50% biochar, but also adds a variety of carefully selected compounds, and its effectiveness is enhanced through a controlled enzymatic hydrolysis process, further improving the product’s practicality.

It is reported that biochar is a substance rich in carbon and with high chemical stability, and its preparation is achieved through biomass pyrolysis technology (that is, heating biomass in an oxygen-free environment). In agricultural applications, biochar has diverse values: it can effectively help soil retain moisture and nutrients, fundamentally improving soil quality; at the same time, as an important carbon sequestration method, biochar can fix carbon dioxide in the atmosphere and remain stably in the soil for hundreds to thousands of years, contributing to agricultural carbon emission reduction. In addition, biochar can also be widely used in organic agricultural production, soil improvement, and soil pollution control.

Feedback from the practical application of Aapresid’s distributor network shows that the Bioaktive biofertilizer launched by Biologika can significantly activate the activity of microorganisms in the soil, provide a favorable environment for crop root development, and thereby improve the crop’s nutrient absorption and utilization rate. In the long run, the product also helps slow down the process of soil degradation, continuously improve soil fertility, and provide strong support for sustainable agricultural production.

In addition to its independently developed core products, Biologika has also actively expanded its cooperation scope and has now become the local distributor of relevant solutions from Koppert, a multinational bio-based product enterprise. At the same time, the brand matrix represented by Biologika also includes multiple well-known brands such as Patagonia, ALMag Solutions, Agrobio Latam, and Netzefy, providing growers with a diverse range of bioinput options.

In an interview with AgroPages, Bordas also revealed that to better serve local agricultural production, Biologika has deployed professional sales representatives and agricultural consultant teams in multiple major row crop growing areas in Argentina, realizing service coverage of core planting areas. He stated that Biologika’s core value proposition is to provide farmers with full-chain support from products to services by introducing new agricultural technologies and practicing the concept of “returning to agronomy”, ultimately helping to achieve the dual improvement of agricultural yield and quality.
