2025 CIIF

At the 25th China International Industrial Fair (CIIF), Intel, together with multiple ecosystem partners, showcased cutting-edge solutions and computing platforms centered around Industrial AI, spanning areas such as embodied intelligence, humanoid robots, Industrial AI and large models, industrial machine vision, and industrial control. A factory implementation case study based on the Intel® Core™ Ultra platform was released during the event, vividly illustrating a new paradigm of human-machine collaboration driven by embodied intelligence in smart manufacturing.

Gao Song, Vice President of the Client Computing Group and General Manager of Intel China, stated, “The development of new quality productive forces is accelerating the deep integration of artificial intelligence and the real economy. The wave of embodied intelligence is pushing industrial intelligence to a new stage of development, with humanoid robots transitioning from forward-looking concepts to real factory floors. By accelerating the deployment of AI in edge computing and providing full-stack AI solutions from edge to cloud, Intel is driving software and hardware innovation to help enterprises leap from ‘manufacturing’ to ‘intelligent manufacturing’.”

During the event, Intel officially released the whitepaper Intelligence at the Edge: Intel’s Integrated Hardware-Software Approach to Empowering Industrial AI Applications. Based on Intel’s latest achievements and practical experience in edge AI, this whitepaper comprehensively demonstrates how Intel’s full-stack edge AI technology system—from hardware platforms to software toolchains—provides a solid technical foundation for the intelligent transformation of various vertical industries, including smart factories, smart communities, and smart transportation.

Intelligent Fusion for a New AI Era

At the expo, Intel, together with Annu Intelligence and Fuling Precision, unveiled an embodied intelligence factory implementation case based on the Intel® Core™ Ultra processor. This achievement marks the first time the concept of “large and small brain integration” has been realized in a real industrial scenario, truly bringing embodied intelligence solutions from theory to practice. In actual operation, the robot system equipped with the Core™ Ultra processor achieved zero errors during prolonged, high-intensity continuous tasks, demonstrating exceptional stability and real-time performance and overcoming the “last mile” deployment challenges of embodied intelligence.

The embodied intelligence solution based on the Intel Core™ Ultra processor migrates from a dual-system to a single-system architecture, enabling system communication and time synchronization and offering the industry a cost-effective solution that combines high-efficiency AI with robust real-time control at the chip level. By integrating powerful AI inference capabilities, high-performance CPU computing, and industrial-grade real-time control into a single low-power SoC, the solution eliminates the need for separate “large brain” and “small brain” modules. The powerful heterogeneous computing capabilities of the Intel Core™ Ultra processor provide comprehensive support for real-time perception, intelligent decision-making, and precise control in robots.

Leveraging the AI computing power and real-time control capabilities of the Core™ Ultra processor, the Zhejiang Humanoid Robot Innovation Center achieved generalizable visual servo control for universal scenarios through graph neural network-based feature matching in its black-and-white box integrated embodied intelligence servo strategy. This effectively addresses the need for precise control and rapid response in embodied intelligence systems within complex environments.

Full-Stack Industrial AI and Large Model Solutions Accelerating Smart Manufacturing

Full-stack industrial AI

In the field of Industrial AI, applications such as machine vision, industrial control, industrial digitalization, and embodied intelligence demonstrate vast potential and growth opportunities in real industrial settings. According to the latest news, IDC predictions show that spending on AI by Chinese industrial enterprises will reach RMB 90 billion by 2028, with a compound annual growth rate of 37.7%. Building on years of technical expertise in the industrial sector, Intel offers full-stack AI solutions supported by computing platforms spanning from the edge to the data center. Products such as the Intel Core™ Ultra processor, graphics cards with Xe cores and integrated MXM matrix acceleration engines, and server accelerators meet the deployment needs of AI and large models from edge to cloud. These solutions cover diverse scenarios, from machine vision to industrial large model deployment, including inspection, code generation, RAG, and environmental monitoring, helping customers achieve significant optimizations in cost, power consumption, and size, and accelerating the large-scale implementation of Industrial AI.

At the Industrial Fair, Intel, together with numerous partners, comprehensively showcased breakthroughs from driving digital transformation in traditional industries to leading advancements in embodied intelligence. The Intel Industrial Computer Preferred Program (PIPC) leverages Intel’s core strengths in industrial-grade chips, edge computing architecture, and software platforms. Through close collaboration with ecosystem partners, it provides industrial users with high-performance computer products and reliable computing platforms tailored to various industrial application scenarios.

By promoting the tight integration of open platforms and advanced AI technologies with industrial scenarios, Intel is working hand-in-hand with many partners to drive the implementation of innovative solutions in the industrial sector. In the future, Intel will continue to uphold the principles of innovation and openness, contributing actively to the intelligent development of industry and helping countless sectors advance toward smart manufacturing.
